another 5:00 a.m. morning
the normal routine... blah, blah, blah
*Amanda got called into work before 8:00... see note in gingerbread post
*worked on gingerbread and school all morning and afternoon.... quite a sight to see if you're not used to merging life and school.
math drills while cutting out gingerbread... spelling test while cutting out gingerbread men, "white pages" (teacher's manual) reading while cutting out gingerbread train, listen to music lessons while cleaning the kitchen, listen to reading while exercising, you get the picture
* stop work on gingerbread train long enough to give a few piano lessons and take a few phone calls
*finish train in time to go to party.
*work on business bookwork while at party
*clean mess when we get home
*fairly early to bed tonight.... 11:30 (LOL)

The merging life into school think is vital to avoid burn-out, isn't it?
If we try to delineate the elements of our lives too much, we realise we don't have enough time to get it all done. And that *will* induce panic!

So true. I don't really think that nonhomeschooling friends "get it." I'm hoping that my daily "this is what we do" will give insight into our day and how/why we do what we do.
